3 Firefox Extensions That Make Tabbed Browsing Even Better

I’ll never forget the day when my brother glared at me with a look of disgust as I opened a new window in Firefox to type in a URL for a site he wanted me to check out.  Basically the conversation went something like this:

“Wtf are you doing?! Why don’t you just open a new tab?”  “What’s a tab?”  “Oh geeze, Molly”.

That was the day I discovered how wonderful and productive tabbed browsing could be.  Hopefully these three Firefox Extensions will make your tabbed browsing experience, even better:

FaviconizeTab allows you to shrink your tabs, down to the size of a favicon, with a couple of mouse clicks.  If you’re in the habit of keeping an outrageous amount of tabs open, then this will be a lifesaver:

Find In Tabs allows you to search for text across all tabs.  You can choose to highlight the text and you can view which tab contains the text on whatever page you’re viewing:

Badges On Favicon will add a badge onto an open tab that contains new content.  It shows the number of new items in Gmail, twitter search, Netvibes, etc.  There aren’t a lot of compatible services yet, but this is still a very useful Extension:
